Karma or not?
Perhaps my long-avowed belief in karma stems not truly from the conviction that every event in life, negative or positive, is caused by an action in this or a previous life, but more from a stringent sense of justice in the world. Thus those who do evil to you, and to others, are punished sooner or later through the cosmic court system. I don't think karma necessarily conflicts with the Christian way of thinking; per the Bible, each receives "according to his due." Sounds like the karmic sense of earning enough points to finally reach beyond this earthly stay, to me.
