Twelfth Month

Twelfth Month is a phenomenon not to be taken lightly. Despite Christmas and Kwanzaa and Hanukkah (etc.), notwithstanding tax year-end and charity giving and FSA depletion, Twelfth Month stands on its own, a true solstice from which springs the next year's thoughts and hopes and dreams.

Of course, Twelfth Month also represents the worst of the human spirit, in greedy advertising and mall collisions and the lost hope that this year, this year was the one in which to really change. Twelfth Month is a time for reflection, for sadness, for loss of the innocence of childhood Christmas charm.
