Writing is catharsis,
but at the same time avoiding and encouraging the pain from which the catharsis stems.
It is much safer if the catharsis comes through in writing, rather than in real words.
In writing, one can pretend that this is only a fiction, only parts of an imagination,
not reality, or what one would say in real life, but only a fantasy set in type.
